Hi, this is Dr. Roy Kim with my special guest, Ms. Natalie. So she has an amazing product, Glam Tan by Natalie, which I discovered and she reached out, and we are now collaborating on this video and audio podcast. I did a slight dive into tanning products, and I'm amazed by your product because your product is natural, it actually is beneficial for skin, it doesn't have any odor, and it lasts for about 10 days. So if you talk a little about your product.

SPEAKER_01:

Sure. So the Glam Tan by Natalie Line was developed to put skincare first. And the number one priority was to make a product that was safe, chemical-free, toxic free, and something luxurious, high quality, whilst giving you a beautiful, gorgeous glow, and putting your skin first. So that's the whole process of the glam tan luxurious.

SPEAKER_00:

Now, I know you told me that it took a couple years to come up with this product. What was sort of the process, the inspiration, as well as sort of the formulation and then the redo and the experimentation?

SPEAKER_01:

So, first things first, my goal as the founder, my mission was to make everyone feel beautiful, confident, and glowing in their skin. And how do I go about doing that? I asked myself so many times. And by doing so, I knew that the key components had to be skin care. Like I had to, you know, research and develop high-quality skincare and for the skin, full body, that would go hand in hand with safe tanning. I had a lot of friends who were dermatologists, thankfully, a lot of doctor friends, plastic surgeons. So I did my research and I asked everyone, what's the best ingredients to tone and firm your skin? Because clearly I'm not a doctor. What are the best ingredients for hydration? What are the best ingredients for, you know, glow, toning, firming, you name it. So we have, you know, a product now that had everything in one bottle. But primarily the goal for us was to give you a luxurious glow, which means, you know, hydration is put number one. And when we were developing glam tan, we really wanted to make a product that was dermatologist tested and approved, which it is. By getting that tested and approved, we had to have high-quality ingredients that were safe for your skin. So that was good. That was our mission. So with the medical grade, professional grade components, that's where we put in the collagen, the hyaluronic acid, things like that to really tune up from your skin while giving you a beautiful glow.

SPEAKER_00:

So I know that you have, I believe, an at-home product as well as a slightly different product for tanning in your studio, correct? And you're opening up where your San Francisco studio now it's already open. And then you're about to open up your Beverly Hills studio.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

So you're excited about this expansion, ISIL.

SPEAKER_01:

I'm excited, but I know it's a lot. It's a lot. But my goal is to literally make everyone feel beautiful, confident, and glowing in their skin. And that's the mission. And it's doable. It's just now that I'm going to have San Francisco and now Beverly Hills.

SPEAKER_00:

Gotcha. So as you know, I'm a plastic surgeon, both San Francisco and Beverly Hills. Have you noticed a difference in your tanning clients when you've been going back and forth between both places?

SPEAKER_01:

Not so much. I feel like for San Francisco, it's definitely a little bit more low-key. It's not seven days a week. It's more like we have personal trainers, special occasion, weddings, maybe a weekend getaway or a date night. I feel like in LA it's it is more of an upkeep. It's more of a demand. People want to look beautiful, confident, and go on every single day of the week. They're not doing it for vacations, they're not doing it for events, they're not doing it just because there's a date night coming up. They're actually doing it on the regular. That's what I see. And when I went to LA, it's like it's like they have the vibe. They want that lifestyle. That's the difference between San Francisco, I think, and Los Angeles is it's definitely more low-key in San Francisco. But there is a niche for it here. There is a high demand. People really care about high-quality ingredients in San Francisco. They care about lifestyle. They care about what's going on their body, more so LA. They just want to look good. So there's different pros and cons for both cities. Great. But everyone wants to look good no matter which city they're in. So that's plus. I don't know anyone that doesn't want to look at it.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, I'm a little biased as well.

SPEAKER_01:

So you know, the goal is to make everybody feel beautiful, confident, and glowing with glam tan, and that's universal.

SPEAKER_00:

So I know you're the founder.

SPEAKER_01:

That's universal.

SPEAKER_00:

You're the creator of the product. You actually use the product for the viewers and listeners out there. What's something that's sort of a secret that we may not know about you?

SPEAKER_01:

That I do not ever use the sun, ever. I'm all about safe sunless tanning. I have been my whole life. Not just because I have a product. It's been something that's so passionate about me is to not, you know, bake in the sun to get skin cancer, sun damage. Age spots. My that's like a thing for me is to not go into the sun. And developing glam tan was easy for me because I know the cost of, you know, sunbathing, baking in the sun, and skin cancers and all the sun damage, UV damage. So that was one of the main drives for me was to create the product to give you a safe sunless glow. Because nowadays we're more educated. Not only are we more educated, but we have more evidence-based information. Versus when I was a child, everyone was tanning. Everyone was into the UV lights. Everyone was putting vegetable oil and carrot oil and trying to get any bit of sun that they could. Now we're the women, especially women, what is it? Now in America, there's over 70 million women using safe sunless tanning.

SPEAKER_00:

Wow.

SPEAKER_01:

70 million as of this year. Women alone in the USA are using safe sunless self-tanners because they're more educated and they know the cost of sun damage, get skin care, full body, all that stuff. So yeah, that was one of the things that people don't know about me is because I'm always so glowing and sun-kissed and like glamorous, but it it's my product.

SPEAKER_00:

That's awesome.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah. Brilliant.

SPEAKER_00:

As a plastic surgeon, a lot of my patients are into body contouring. They want to show off their results. And they educated me about spray tan and some of the same. Like I'm a doctor, so I tell them don't get tan because I mean, yes, there's skin cancer, but that's minor. You don't want wrinkles.

SPEAKER_01:

Why do you want wrinkles? That's so vain of me, but I am not ashamed to say that.

SPEAKER_00:

Right. Well, who wants tons of wrinkles?

SPEAKER_01:

You know, at my age, I'm it's I'm doing good. And I do believe the only difference between me and someone of my age who looks a lot older. Even I'm going to be sound really vain to say this, but even like most 20, late 20, 30-year-olds, they have wrinkles because they're baking in the sun. It's the only secret that I have that I know that works is to stay out of the sun. And with or without a self-tanner, it doesn't matter, but it's like it's if, and especially if you are investing in aesthetics and lasers and facelifts and everything, you don't want to compromise your aesthetics by getting a beautiful facial, you know,$500 laser or even$1,500 laser. And then two weeks later you're baking in the sun.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

It's like defeating the purpose because then you have to reverse the sun damage with another laser anyway. And so by keeping yourself youthful and safe by stand out of the sun. However, we're not saying that the sun is bad. You can get some sunlight, healthy amounts of sunlight, but no baking in the sun to where it really compromises your health, wellness, and of course your aesthetic.

SPEAKER_00:

I know that there are a lot of competitors in this space. So I didn't know that much about spray tan or sunless tanning, and I did a deep dive. There are a ton of competitors. You could buy it at pretty much any drugstore. How is your product different from basically all the others?

SPEAKER_01:

So there is nothing on the market like right now, like Lambton simply because we were the first to put skincare first. And by doing so, you know, high-quality ingredients, no toxic chemicals, fragrance-free. And, you know, implementing high-quality medical ingredients that tone of perm your skin. So and by doing our research and development, we came to the conclusion there's nothing on the market that is chemical-free, fragrance-free, tones of firms your skin, and giving you whilst giving you a beautiful tan in the meantime.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah. I've been educated by you and actually doing a deep dive before this video. I mean, a lot of spray tan products have a lot of artificial ingredients. They have an odor, they don't last that long, and it feels like a heavy thing, like a heavy shield on your skin. I actually tried some, didn't like it. And so your product actually feels lighter. It actually moisturizes.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, so glam tan is ultra-hydrating. That was why we really wanted something to hydrate the skin, make it useful and glowing, and you know, adding all the components, all the vitamins, all the hydration. And of course, toning and firming was a big passion of ours, was because not only do we want to, you know, give you a beautiful self-tanner, but we wanted to ch to change the complexity of the skin, you know, after time. Right. And so we did a test. And after we did our testing, 98% of people noticed that their skin was toned and firm by using glam tan.

SPEAKER_00:

Very impressive.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah. So that's why we came up with the medical professional grade formula by adding high quality ingredients. And we have some medical spas in Southern California that sell it also.
