The Beauty Standard with Dr. Roy Kim

Your Body Already Makes The Best Anti-Aging Treatment and It's Exosomes!

Dr. Roy Kim

The future of skin rejuvenation may not be fillers or lasers, but exosomes—microscopic messengers naturally produced by your body that repair and rejuvenate skin from within. Dr. Roy Kim explains how these tiny biological bubbles deliver targeted regenerative benefits that work with your body's own processes for natural-looking, longer-lasting results.

• Exosomes are tiny bubbles released by cells containing essential tools for regeneration
• Unlike whole stem cells, exosomes provide only the necessary growth factors
• Treatment combines microneedling with topical exosome serums
• Results timeline: improved hydration by week 2, diminished fine lines by week 6, up to 60% increased skin thickness by week 12
• Benefits include skin rejuvenation, improved scar appearance, reduced hyperpigmentation
• Hair restoration applications show up to 30% increased hair density after four treatments
• Currently classified as cosmetic products in the US, only approved for topical use
• No "done" appearance because treatments work with your body's natural biology

If you're ready to explore exosomes as an optional add-on for skin therapy, injectable therapy, microneedling and so forth, please contact my office and we'll schedule a consultation. Share your thoughts or questions about regenerative treatments in the comments below.

Speaker 1:

Welcome to the Beauty Standard with Dr Roy Kim. What if I told you that the future of skin rejuvenation isn't a filler or laser. It's something that your body already makes? Exosomes, these are microscopic messengers that naturally repair and rejuvenate your skin from within. My name is Dr Roy Kim, board certified plastic surgeon, and today I'm going to show you how exosome therapy delivers natural results that last longer and look better than traditional treatments. Exosomes are tiny bubbles released by cells to communicate instructions, sort of like telling skin cells to produce more collagen or repair damage. Unlike stem cells, which are entire cells, exosomes contain only the essential tools for regeneration, making them safer and more targeted for aesthetic treatments. They work by delivering growth factors directly to aging cells, simulating collagen production and reducing inflammation for smoother, firmer skin over time. However, exosome therapy is an emerging field that's still being researched.

Speaker 1:

Exosomes rejuvenate skin by boosting collagen production and calming inflammation, two of the key factors in reversing signs of aging. For facial treatments, we combine microneedling with topical exosome serums to deliver these messengers into the skin. So after treatment during week one and two, hydration improves and brightness returns. Week four through six, you're going to see fine lines fade noticeably, and by week 12, skin thickness increases by up to 60%. What makes this approach unique is how natural it looks. There's no done appearance, because we're working with your body's biology. Exosomes benefit the skin in several ways Improving skin rejuvenation, improving scar appearance, reducing hyperpigmentation and enhancing recovery after surgery. Exosomes aren't just for facial rejuvenation, they're also transforming hair restoration. When you place exosomes into the scalp for facial rejuvenation, they're also transforming hair restoration. When you place exosomes into the scalp after microneedling, they reactivate dormant hair follicles by delivering proteins critical for growth cycles. Clinical trials show that patients experience up to a 30% increase in hair density after four treatments, and results last longer than PRP therapy alone. Exosome therapy has changed the way we approach aesthetic medicine by working naturally with your body's biology for long-lasting results that look effortless.

It's important to know that the US government classifies exosomes as a cosmetic product, and so I can use them as a topical agent, not as an injectable. There are currently no FDA-approved exosome treatments for specific therapeutic use. The literature does support exosome use as an injectable, but this is outside the US and not FDA approved at this time. I do think that the FDA will change their mind soon. If you're ready to explore exosomes as an optional add-on for skin therapy, injectable therapy, microneedling and so forth. Please contact my office and we'll schedule a consultation.
