Speaker 1:

Welcome to the Beauty Standard with Dr Roy Kim. All right, so you want the lowdown on Club Eveless, this new Jevaux membership program that's got everyone buzzing.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's definitely generating a lot of buzz.

Speaker 1:

We get it. The promise of affordable wrinkle treatments is pretty tempting.

Speaker 2:

It's definitely appealing.

Speaker 1:

So we did the digging, read all the articles, the website, you name it, and we're here to break it all down for you.

Speaker 2:

No hype, just the facts. The website, you name it, and we're here to break it all down for you. No hype, just the facts Exactly so you can decide if it's actually worth all the hype.

Speaker 1:

So for those who might not be totally familiar, Right, not everyone's a neurotoxin expert. Exactly. Can you give us a quick rundown of what J'Vaux is all about?

Speaker 2:

Absolutely yeah, so J'Vaux. It's a neurotoxin, just like Botox.

Speaker 1:

Okay, it's basically become a popular alternative for smoothing out those pesky wrinkles. And Evelis, they're the company behind.

Speaker 2:

Javeau, right, yeah, they are, and they're really trying to make it even more accessible now with this subscription model.

Speaker 1:

Interesting. Okay, so let's get to the heart of it.

Speaker 2:

Let's dive in.

Speaker 1:

What exactly is Club Evelis, and is it really as good as it sounds?

Speaker 2:

Well, on the surface it seems pretty straightforward. It's $49 a month and you get 20 units of Jouveau every 90 days.

Speaker 1:

So every three months.

Speaker 2:

Yep every three months, and that price per unit is actually significantly lower than what we typically see.

Speaker 1:

Oh, wow.

Speaker 2:

Which is why everyone's so intrigued.

Speaker 1:

Makes sense. But, like with any subscription, there's got to be some fine print, right?

Speaker 2:

Oh, absolutely Always got to be some fine print, right? Oh, absolutely, always got to read the fine print.

Speaker 1:

So is this like their first attempt to make Giroux more affordable?

Speaker 2:

Hmm, that's a good question. You know, they do have the Eveless Rewards Program.

Speaker 1:

Right, I think I've heard of that.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's more of a classic loyalty program. You earn points towards future treatments.

Speaker 1:

So this is totally different.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, club Evelis is a whole different ballgame. It's much bolder and it'll be interesting to see what kind of impact it has.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I feel like Evelis is making some strategic moves here, especially since Javot has already been doing pretty well. Definitely Okay. So let's talk benefits. What are the perks of joining this Club Evelis?

Speaker 2:

Well, I mean, besides the cost savings, which are obvious, you also have the budgeting aspect. With that fixed monthly fee, you know exactly what you're spending.

Speaker 1:

That makes it easier to plan.

Speaker 2:

For sure. Yeah, more surprise bills. And there's the convenience factor too. Yeah, everything is automated.

Speaker 1:

Oh nice.

Speaker 2:

From billing to scheduling appointments. They even have a prepayment option.

Speaker 1:

Oh, tell me more.

Speaker 2:

You pay for three months up front and you get your first treatment right away.

Speaker 1:

Oh, that's tempting, but I'm sure there's a catch right.

Speaker 2:

There's always a catch.

Speaker 1:

What are some of the drawbacks or things we need to be aware of?

Speaker 2:

Well, the biggest one that stands out is the limited number of units.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so how many units do you get?

Speaker 2:

You get 20 units every 90 days.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Which might be perfect for someone. Treating just their frown lines, I see, but if you want to address, say, crow's feet or forehead lines too, you're probably going to need more.

Speaker 1:

And then it costs extra.

Speaker 2:

Exactly, so those 20 units might not go as far as you think.

Speaker 1:

So it's really important to have a realistic conversation with your provider.

Speaker 2:

Couldn't agree more. They can help you figure out how many units you actually need.

Speaker 1:

Right and make sure Jouveau is even the right choice for you.

Speaker 2:

Exactly.

Speaker 1:

So limited units, definitely something to consider. What else should we be aware of?

Speaker 2:

The provider network is another big one. You can only get treatments from providers who are part of the Club Evelis network.

Speaker 1:

Oh, so it's not just any provider.

Speaker 2:

Nope, and that might not seem like a big deal. But imagine you find a provider you love, you build that trust You're comfortable. Right, and then suddenly they decide to leave the program. Oh no yeah. And then you're left scrambling to find a new provider within 60 days or you risk losing your membership.

Speaker 1:

That's a lot of pressure. And speaking of pressure, what about canceling the membership? Is it easy to get out if you need to?

Speaker 2:

Well, that's where things get a little tricky. There's a $100 cancellation fee if you decide to opt out within the first three months. Ouch, and to make matters worse, the mech did a lip auto renews.

Speaker 1:

So you have to remember to cancel it.

Speaker 2:

You got to be on top of it, Otherwise you'll just keep getting charged.

Speaker 1:

So it's not the most flexible system. I'm sensing a theme here Lots of restrictions.

Speaker 2:

There are definitely some restrictions to keep in mind. What else you can't combine Club Eveless with other offers or even their own Eveless rewards program.

Speaker 1:

Oh, wow. So if you're loyal to their rewards program, you have to choose one or the other.

Speaker 2:

Exactly, it's one or the other.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so we've got limited units, provider network issues and a tricky cancellation policy. What other hidden costs or caveats should we know about?

Speaker 2:

Here's one that often gets overlooked the no refund policy.

Speaker 1:

What's that all about?

Speaker 2:

Basically, if you sign up and then decide it's not for you, you're out of luck. No refunds.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so there are some financial risks to consider for sure. Anything else we should flag before we move on? One more thing, yeah.

Speaker 2:

They store your personal and payment information Okay, and they might use it for marketing purposes, which, which is pretty standard these days.

Speaker 1:

Right. Most companies do that.

Speaker 2:

But if you're really privacy conscious, it's something to keep in mind.

Speaker 1:

Good point. So, to recap, club Eveless offers a tempting price for J'Vau, but it comes with some strings attached.

Speaker 2:

Absolutely it's.

Speaker 1:

Definitely not All right. So is Club Eveless all hype, or is there real value to be found? Let's explore that a bit further.

Speaker 2:

It really comes down to individual situations.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 2:

Like, if you're someone who gets Jouveau treatments regularly every 90 days and you're happy with just those 20 units, then it could be a good deal.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so for the Jouveau devotees out there.

Speaker 2:

Exactly, but for someone who maybe hasn't tried Jouveau before. But they're interested in the price. What are the arguments for and against joining?

Speaker 1:

That's a good question.

Speaker 2:

I mean the cost savings are hard to ignore.

Speaker 1:

Right, especially compared to traditional treatment.

Speaker 2:

Exactly, you could save a lot in the long run.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And having that predictable monthly fee makes it easier to budget.

Speaker 1:

True, but I keep thinking about those limitations. Could they end up costing you more in the long run?

Speaker 2:

You're not wrong. Those limitations are a big deal for a lot of people.

Speaker 1:

Like you said, 20 units isn't enough for everyone.

Speaker 2:

And then there's the hassle of potentially having to find a new provider.

Speaker 1:

Right, it's like they're hoping people get so excited about the low price that they don't even read the fine print.

Speaker 2:

It's possible they're banking on that initial excitement.

Speaker 1:

So for our listeners who are intrigued but still hesitant, what's your advice? How can they figure out if Club Eveless is right for them?

Speaker 2:

I'd say talk to your current provider first. See if they're even part of the network. Oh good point and get their honest opinion. They know your needs and can give you personalized advice.

Speaker 1:

And they probably know how many units you usually use.

Speaker 2:

Exactly.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

So you can see if those 20 units will actually be enough.

Speaker 1:

Great advice, and don't be afraid to ask questions.

Speaker 2:

Tons of questions.

Speaker 1:

It's your face we're talking about. You deserve to be informed.

Speaker 2:

Absolutely. This whole Club Eveless thing has got me thinking About it's like a sign of the times. The aesthetics industry is changing so quickly.

Speaker 1:

In what way?

Speaker 2:

It's becoming more accessible, more consumer-driven, but also more complicated in a lot of ways.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I see what you mean.

Speaker 2:

And this subscription model could be a catalyst for even more change.

Speaker 1:

Really.

Speaker 2:

How so? I wouldn't be surprised if other companies, maybe even Botox providers, start offering similar programs.

Speaker 1:

Whoa, that would be wild.

Speaker 2:

It would be like the streaming wars all over again, but for wrinkles.

Speaker 1:

I love that. Okay, so let's say that happens. What could that mean for the consumer? Good, bad or somewhere in between?

Speaker 2:

Well, historically speaking, increased competition usually means better prices and more choices for consumers.

Speaker 1:

Which is good.

Speaker 2:

Usually, but there's always another side to the coin. Okay, I'm listening. The potential downside is what we call a race to the bottom.

Speaker 1:

What's that?

Speaker 2:

It's when companies get so focused on undercutting each other on price that they start compromising on quality.

Speaker 1:

You mean like skimping on training or using lower quality products? Exactly.

Speaker 2:

And that's a scary thought, because at the end of the day, you don't want a botched treatment just because you went with the cheapest option.

Speaker 1:

Absolutely so. Education is more important than ever.

Speaker 2:

I couldn't agree more Consumers need to do their research, understand the risks and choose providers based on qualifications, not just price.

Speaker 1:

So this wrinkle war could be a double-edged sword.

Speaker 2:

Very much so Exciting possibilities, but also some serious risks.

Speaker 1:

So, for our listeners who are still on the fence about Club Eveless, what's the one key takeaway you want them to remember?

Speaker 2:

I think the most important thing is to approach this program, and really any aesthetic treatment, with a healthy dose of skepticism.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

Do your research, read the fine print and talk to a qualified healthcare professional. They can help you navigate all of this.

Speaker 1:

Love that. Don't just buy into the hype. I think that applies to a lot more than just aesthetic treatments.

Speaker 2:

It really does. We're bombarded with information and marketing messages constantly.

Speaker 1:

It can be overwhelming.

Speaker 2:

It is. So it's crucial to step back, think critically and make decisions that feel right for you.

Speaker 1:

Well said, it feels like we've covered so much ground today.

Speaker 2:

We have.

Speaker 1:

From the tiny details of Club Eveless to the future of aesthetics.

Speaker 2:

It's been quite the deep dive.

Speaker 1:

It has. Before we wrap up, I want to leave our listeners with one final thought. You know we've been focusing on how this whole subscription thing could impact individuals, Right, but what about the bigger picture Like how could this change the entire aesthetics industry?

Speaker 2:

That's the really fascinating part. This model has the potential to completely disrupt the market.

Speaker 1:

In a way we haven't seen before.

Speaker 2:

Exactly Like. Just imagine if other big companies offering Botox or similar treatment Like Big Dogs.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, if they all decided to jump on the subscription bandwagon too. It would be like the screaming wars, but for wrinkles, Uh-huh exactly.

Speaker 2:

We could see crazy price wars, new companies popping up left and right. Even providers might have to totally rethink how they run their practices.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so let's break that down a bit. What could all of this mean for the consumer? Is it good, bad or somewhere in between?

Speaker 2:

Well, looking back historically, when you have more competition, it usually leads to better prices.

Speaker 1:

Right more options for consumers.

Speaker 2:

Exactly so. That's generally a win, but there's always that flip side.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I'm intrigued. What's the catch?

Speaker 2:

The potential downside is that you get this race to the bottom.

Speaker 1:

What do you mean by that?

Speaker 2:

So companies get so focused on having the lowest price that they start cutting corners on quality.

Speaker 1:

Oh no.

Speaker 2:

Like maybe they skimp on training for their staff.

Speaker 1:

Or use cheaper products.

Speaker 2:

Exactly, yeah, and that's where things get a little worrisome, because you don't want to end up with a bad treatment just because you went for the cheapest deal.

Speaker 1:

Absolutely so. It sounds like education and awareness are even more important now.

Speaker 2:

I couldn't agree more. Consumers need to be really savvy. Do their research, vet their providers. Oh, just go for the lowest price.

Speaker 1:

Exactly. Make sure you understand the risks involved too. So it's a bit of a mixed bag, this whole potential wrinkle war.

Speaker 2:

It is. It has its pros and cons. For sure, like you said, exciting possibilities, but some real risks too.

Speaker 1:

It almost feels like people need a dedicated resource to navigate this whole world of treatments.

Speaker 2:

Wouldn't that be amazing, Some kind of platform where you could get unbiased information?

Speaker 1:

compare experiences. Read reviews.

Speaker 2:

Exactly and even to hold these companies accountable.

Speaker 1:

I love that idea Like a consumer advocacy group just for aesthetics.

Speaker 2:

Exactly A place where people can feel empowered and informed.

Speaker 1:

Maybe someone listening right now will be inspired to make that happen.

Speaker 2:

I hope so, because, as this industry keeps changing, consumers need all the help they can get.

Speaker 1:

Well, I think we've officially reached the end of our Club Eveless deep dive.
